08. Good Gut Mama Korean Kimchi
A staple of Korean kitchens for centuries
Kimchi is more than a side—it’s a living food with a purpose.
Our traditional Korean kimchi is crafted the way it’s meant to be. Fermented to perfection using crisp napa cabbage, garlic, ginger, parsnip and a fiery kick of korean chilli, every jar is packed with deep, complex flavor and gut-loving probiotics. Kimchi develops its signature tang through natural lactic acid fermentation. During this process, beneficial bacteria—primarily lactic acid bacteria such as Lactobacillus species—multiply and help crowd out unwanted microbes, creating a naturally preserved, probiotic-rich food.
kimchi isn’t just something you add for flavor—it’s something your gut can actually use
Regular consumption of fermented foods like kimchi has been linked to improved gut diversity, reduced inflammation, and better metabolic health such as blood glucose control. Diversity of the gut microbiome has been shown to be vital for better digestion, improved nutrient and vitamin absorption, and more balanced immune function.
Compounds produced during fermentation—like lactic acid and short-chain fatty acids—contribute to nourishing the cells lining the gut and by doing so, vitally support the integrity of the intestinal lining.
Beyond the gut:
Kimchi delivers a serious nutritional punch. It’s rich in vitamin C, vitamin K, and antioxidants that help protect cells from oxidative stress, while its bioactive compounds may support heart health and help regulate blood sugar levels, even mood. Clean, functional, and fiercely flavourful—this is food that works as hard as you do.
